Meet Maddie Schaab, Living Stones’ Director of Advancement

Living Stones is excited to welcome Maddie Schaab as our new Director of Advancement. A nonprofit leader with deep experience in fundraising, advocacy, and board service, Maddie also happens to live just down the street in Fulton Heights. Maddie is deeply connected to the mission and brings a passion for equity, access, and community partnerships that align beautifully with our next season.

What drew you to Living Stones?

What first drew me to Living Stones was feeling welcomed and at home. From my very first visit, the strong sense of community was clear, and that feeling has only deepened with time.

How do you see your role supporting the mission of Living Stones in this season of growth?

I see my role as instrumental in fueling our expansion. I’m excited to build bridges within our community and introduce new partners to Living Stones’ incredible mission. My contributions will help us grow financially and also amplify our impact in the community.

As a neighbor, how have you seen Living Stones impact the community?

Living in Fulton Heights, I’ve witnessed Living Stones Academy’s positive impact in several ways—from neighborhood clean-up days and helping with leaf raking to the parade of students during the MLK Jr. Day Walk. LSA’s presence enriches the fabric of our neighborhood.

What’s one thing you’d like our community to know about you?
One thing I want our community to know about me is that I believe access is a fundamental right, not a privilege. This belief has been the through-line of my professional career, from roles in nonprofit healthcare and disability organizations to patient advocacy and board service. I’m honored to bring this passion to Living Stones.

Are you a donor to Living Stones Academy?

Maddie would love to meet you and hear why God has led you to support LSA. As Maddie gets settled in her role, would you reach out to her and share a story of the generosity and beauty in this community? You can email her at maddies@livingstonesgr.org
